Westview Weekly
Success for all, whatever it takes!
Issue 15: November 16-20, 2015
This fall has been an absolute blessing! Nothing quite like mid-60s in the middle of November. Any weekend filled with out outside activities this late in the year is a bonus.
Before I got a chance to get away for deer season, Laura spent the weekend planning for her upcoming maternity leave, and we had maternity pictures taken by the amazing Traci White. Seriously, if you need family photos, you need to look her up; the pictures that Ericka and Cassandra shared this past week are absolute proof of her amazingness.
While I usually use the weekend as a time to refresh my soul with Laura and Colby, it was nice to escape to the woods to pursue my favorite hobby (well besides indulging in decadent food). I have shared this weekend with my dad for over 20 years, and I cherish it every year. It is a chance to get away with just the men, take mid-afternoon naps, and share memories from past hunts. What are your favorite yearly activities that you do with friends and family? I'd love to know! Share them in the comments if you'd like.
With only a few more weeks until Christmas break, we have the chance to continue changing lives and making memories with our students in 2015. Just this past week, I was able to begin building a relationship with a struggling second grader. We talked about super heroes, dance parties, having mad skills, and even played a game of basketball that "he let me win". I think I made a difference on Friday. You all are difference makers - the best I've ever been around! What are you going to do to make a difference today, tomorrow, this week? I can't wait to see.
As you go through your week, do so knowing that you have the best group of educators ever assembled to help you through it.
Blessings,
Brandyn

You all made some excellent strides last week during team meetings, and we can't wait to see your continued progress you made this week.
Please come prepared with questions, UOI materials, rubrics, etc.
If you do not have a scheduled team meeting with me and Rita, please feel free to join a grade level team meeting that fits your schedule, or just find a time to stop by our offices at a time convenient for you.
