Alexander Hamilton's date of birth isn't exact but it is believed to be January 11, 1755. He was born on Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Education
Hamilton as a boy educated himself and had little or no formal education. Later though, as he developed his writing and reading skills and he went to King college in New York.
Early jobs
Alexander's first job was being a clerk for a store. He did so well that sometimes when the owner left for a trip Alexander would take care of the store. One time after a hurricane Alexander Hamilton wrote a story for the newspaper and his article got in. Hamilton was starting his reputation as a writer and businessman.

Alexander Hamilton had one brother and a father and mother. His father was named James Hamilton and his mother Rachel Hamilton. His only brother was Jr. Hamilton.

Alexander had a good childhood compared to other children in his era. He may not have been formally educated but that didn't stop him from quickly excelling in reading and writing. Alexander was building his reputation as a writer and businessman.
