1st session 10:30 - explore your artistic side!
2nd session 12:30 - get sweet on math!
Take either session or both. (Lunch bunch available)
In both weeks projects will be different!

Math and Arts Integration.....
ART SIDE 10:30 -12:00
Explore the visual arts and discover the work of artist, Wayne Thiebaud. Investigate art concepts and the elements and principles of art and design. Specifically, students will experiment with line, color, shape, texture, value, perspective, and emphasis. All students will create a delicious masterpiece inspired by this world-renowned contemporary artist.
MATH SIDE 12:30 - 2:00
Explore connections between the visual arts and mathematics while discovering and reading about the work of the artist, Wayne Thiebaud. Students will learn about the contemporary pop artist while investigating mathematical concepts such as fractions, writing and solving money problems, using estimation and calculations, and exploring the concepts of diameter, radius, volume, and surface area.
