A note from the principal...
Greetings Needmore Families!
This is a big week for our intermediate students as we begin ILEARN testing and continue into next week. The ILEARN is the state mandated testing to assess what our students have learned this year and how they are able to apply the skills they have been taught. Thank you to our PTO for providing healthy snacks during testing so our students have nourishment to focus and concentrate! Please try to avoid absences and arriving late to school, if possible, so that your child doesn't miss any test sessions.
A big shoutout to our NES Math Bowl team for earning 1st place in their division last week at the area competition! Woo hoo, Needmore continues to shine in so many areas and we are very proud of our students and our school!
Enjoy your week!
Mrs. Petty

*Each $1 bill adds 100 points, $5=500 points, etc.
*To make things interesting, silver coins can be added to other grade level’s jugs to subtract points. Nickel= minus 5 points, Dime= minus10 points, etc.

Needmore Cheer Clinic & Tryouts
Monday 5/8 3:30-5:00 (Permission form turned in! Learning cheer & chants)
Tuesday 5/9 3:30-5:00 (Learning cheer & chants)
Thursday 5/11 3:30-5:00 (Practice cheers/Mock Tryout)
Friday 5/12 3:30-4:30 (Tryouts-physical form turned in by 2:00!!)
Cheerleaders are representatives of Needmore Elementary. Please remember to demonstrate qualities and characteristics that describe a Needmore student. Students who consistently do not demonstrate good behavior as a Needmore leader are not eligible to participate in the clinic or tryouts. We want our cheerleaders to reflect all that Needmore teaches our students about how to be the good in the world!
Students will have evaluations by a selected teacher and the principal to earn extra points toward tryout scores. These scores will be added in to the final score. Grades will also be looked at and considered.
Contact Mrs. Harris with any questions.
Attention Kindergarten and Sixth Grade Families
