Who am I in the body of Christ (the Church)

This Fall we are going through our series on Identity. This week we are looking at Who am I In the body of Christ (the Church)? Specifically we will be talking about the purpose of the church and our role within the body of believers!

Remember to bring your Bibles.

See you there!

September Memory Verse

For the fall semester we will be working our way through memorizing Colossians 3:1-17 broken up by sections month by month. There will be prizes for those who can recite it at the end of each month.

September's section is Colossians 3:1-4

3 So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

This year we are having two projects here in our city. We are partnering with Hearts for Homes again to help improve the living conditions of low-income senior homeowners in Denton County.

We will also have a group going out to a church member’s home to do some repairs.

Be sure to wear closed toe shoes, appropriate outdoor work attire you don't mind getting dirty, and sunblock.

So throw on your work gloves and join skill sets needed.

I hope you all are doing well as school schedules and rhythms have (hopefully) begun to settle in. I know you all are busy with your kids and activities so I just wanted to take a moment to encourage you and tell you that I am and do pray for you often.

I also wanted to tell you about a couple resources that have been encouraging and helpful to me.

First is the website

On this website they have a blog for parents as well as articles that deal with many different topics that your teens face in today's culture.

Second is the website

There have been many helpful articles that have run the gamut of different topics that have been thought provoking as well as uplifting in the day to day walk of life.
