The Warrior Way
Respect, Perseverance, Integrity, Responsibility, Compassion
Warrior Life
Our students were hard at work this week both in and out of the classroom. Our Advanced Art I entered into their third week of their sculpting unit. Their pieces are really starting to take shape. Theater students are hard at work with their One Act Play that is set to debut in a couple of weeks. Our 8th grade math students were able to use the game Jenga to help them further their understanding of finding slope. This week we also hosted a Collegiate Academy informational and had a good turnout with lots of great questions as parents try and prepare their students for high school. Lastly, our cheerleaders took a trip to Baylor University to get a first hand view of collegiate sideline cheer.
This week our boys and girls basketball teams faced off against Brown Middle School. The 8th grade girls B & C teams won their games, but A team could not pull out the win. 7th grade B team won their game but A& C team lost their games. This weekend our 7th grade girls B team won their district championship!!
Our boys basketball teams were all victorious except for our 7th grade A team. They fought hard but it would not be enough. The 7th grade B team also participated in a district tournament and fought hard.
We are very proud of our Warriors and all of their hard work! We look forward to a great week this week.

Warrior Teacher of Week
This week we would like to recognize Mrs. Des Chavez as our teacher of the week. Mrs. Chavez teaches 8th grade English. Mrs. Chavez rejoined our Warren family this year, and has been doing a great job transitioning back. She helps sponsor various clubs for our students and serves on our Content Lead and Literature Review committee. Mrs. Chavez brings a love for English and reading that can be sensed the moment you walk into her room. Mrs. Chavez can be seen greeting her students at the door as they walk in. She does a great job building relationships with her students because they know that she genuinely has their best interest at heart. Mrs. Chavez is always trying to create lessons and activities that are going to be fun and challenging to make sure her students are mastering the content while developing a love for learning. We appreciate all that Mrs. Chavez does for her students and Warren and are grateful to have her back in the Warren family.
Warrior Student of the Week
This week we would like to recognize Gabriel Esters as our 7th grade Warrior of the week. Gabriel is enrolled in numerous advanced courses and is heavily involved in our band. Gabriel works hard and always has a positive attitude that he brings with him to class! He loves to share his talent of drawing with those around him.
We would like to recognize Catie Burkhalter as our 8th grade Warrior of the week. Catie is hard working student and is involved in our mighty Warren band. Catie has stepped up and really shows how to be a great and supportive friend in the classroom. She is pushing herself in all areas and are we very proud of her courage to do so.
We are very proud of these two students and how they display the Warrior Way in all that they do!!
