Graduation
Update April 28, 2020
Graduates and families,
Thank you so much for sending me your photos and sentences for the senior slide show! We had great participation from you.
Commemorative Graduation Video Photo Shoot
Thanks for making appointments to come in next Tuesday, May 5 to the office:
4400 Business Pk. Blvd – to the back entrance by Bldg. C to pick up or borrow a cap and gown and be photographed.
E-mail me at chronhap@gmail.com to make an appointment to be photographed.
We want to do the following on this visit:
[ ] Get a still shot of each graduate in the cap and gown
[ ] Videotape moving the tassel from the right to the left
[ ] Get a still shot of the parent(s) handing student their diploma
[ ] Videotape parent handing the student their diploma
The principal can stand in for the parent if they can not be present on Tuesday, May 5. We will be filming from 10 a.m. to 2:00. Volunteers in orange vests will be assisting you in picking up or borrowing a cap and gown. They will also be helping with social distancing. Help us keep you safe.
DIPLOMA DISTRIBUTION DAY - This will be on Tuesday, May 19 – on our scheduled Graduation Day! 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Romig Junior High, 2500 Minnesota Drive.
We have three options for you.
1) Join us at 6:00 – 7:00 for a Drive in Celebration. Families will stay in their cars to provide social distancing. Graduates may on occasion come to the stage to perform, pick up an award, or get their diploma, but social distancing will be required. We will go through something similar to the normal graduation program, but outdoors and broadcasting on a Youtube channel. Photos will be taken. Feel free to decorate your car. Put your graduate’s name on a pennant on a stick!
2) If you don’t wish to celebrate with the group, you can come between 5:00 and 5:50 p.m. and drive through the Romig parking lot, collecting your diploma, envelope of letters from dignitaries, and your Senior Gift Box.
3) Those who can’t make it on May 19 may schedule a pick up time later in May or June to get their diploma and Graduate Gift Box. Call 742-3700 after May 25 to schedule this.
Please RSVP to Happy which option you will choose for your family. chronhap@gmail.com or text her at 240-7244.
We are wanting a graduation program cover that reflects this unique year. You may vote for your favorite program cover design. Parents and students may each vote once. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/muskox
SCHOLARSHIPS, AWARDS, ACCOMPLISHMENTS – We are seeking information about your graduate to publish in the program, on our website, and on the radio. Please e-mail me any information before Friday, May 1. We want to spread the good news about our amazing graduates!
Help Needed – Who would like to help us arrange and wrap a flower for each graduate and pack their gift box on Tuesday, May 19" while honoring social distancing"? We will have a short workshop in the Enrichment Room at the FPCS office from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Graduation Day. Text 240-7244
Singers needed – We have this fun idea of asking various graduates, teachers, and staff to help us by singing one phrase of a song for the Commemorative Graduation Video. If you will help, let us know. If you have a song suggestion text me, otherwise it might be The National Anthem. Text 240-7244
Lead the Pledge – We need a volunteer to lead the pledge on the video and another person or the same person at our event on May 19. Would you like to do this? Text 240-7244
Thanks for your input.
