Dear Parents and Carers,
I would like to start this week by saying well done to our fabulous Year 6 class. They have spent the week completing their SATs and have coped admirably every day. We are all extremely proud of them whatever the outcomes may be. Well done Wolves!
Well done also to some of the children from Hummingbirds who took part in a bean bag rounders tournament in school on Thursday. This was the first time they have represented our school at an event and they were brilliant ambassadors for us whilst having a great time competing against other local schools. Well done!
A couple of notices this week:
- Revd. Paulie has asked me to remind anyone who may wish to read a poem or prayer at the family service for the Jubilee on 5th June to contact either them or me so that they know who is coming on the day.
- At our governors meeting this week, we discussed the outcomes of the recent MAT survey. The survey was very positive with a few individual comments but nothing that showed as a trend or school wide issue. As the survey was completely anonymous, I am unable to respond to comments directly so a reminder that should you have any concerns about your child or school more generally, then please do come and speak to me. We will be holding an informal coffee morning in school at 9am on Friday 17th June, which will be attended by myself and a governor. The event will have no agenda, it is purely for parents to come into school and meet other parents and members of the school leadership team including governors for an informal chat.
Have a lovely weekend

Bean Bag Rounders
Yesterday 10 children from Hummingbird Class took part in a Bean Bag Rounders tournament with other schools from the STARMat. It was lovely to meet children and staff from other schools in the area. The Hummingbird team worked really hard and earned lots of rounders so well done to them all! They represented the school brilliantly.
SEND COFFEE MORNINGS
As the school’s SENDCo, I am delighted to tell you about an exciting new opportunity for parents of children who have Special Educational Needs or Disabilities.
SEND coffee mornings will be held once a half term. They will give parents the chance to meet informally with other parents and myself as SENDCo over coffee and cake.
Further information will be sent out to invited parents.
