There is a need for healthy snacks too! Send in easy to eat items (nothing that
is messy on the hands due to handling the answer document and test booklet) PLUS
Have your child wear comfortable clothing on testing days. Students are
allowed to take off their shoes and get comfy since they will be in one spot for
a long period of time.
Regular classroom expectations are still in effect. Please encourage your child
to take their time and use their strategies.
Free breakfast is served in the cafeteria on Monday-Wednesday!
Students may chew gum or have peppermints. (This was talked about with
the counselor lesson). Research (shared with you during STAAR Ready) shows that gum helps with focus during testing.
Sommer will be a closed campus on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. No visitors will be allowed on campus these days. Additionally, deliveries will not be made during testing. Please make sure your child has everything they need when they leave for school each morning.
