The Garfield Re-2 School District invites parents and community to meet Garfield Re-2 Interim Superintendent and Superintendent finalist Heather Grumley online. Mrs. Grumley and Garfield Re-2 School Board members will be available in this webinar style meeting for questions from community members.
Thursday, April 23 - 6:45 - 7:30 p.m.
The second half of this online meeting will be a Virtual Town Hall meeting with the Garfield Re-2 School Board and administration.
The educational landscape continues to change and we know that parents and community may have questions that they would like to ask of the District. You can send your questions in advance to publicaudience@garfieldre2.net or ask them during the meeting.

Change has been a recent constant at the Garfield School District Re-2 — and that was before the COVID-19 pandemic hit the county just over a month ago.
New interim Chief Financial Officer David Trautenberg hopes to bring back integrity to the financial numbers for the district before the next school year begins.
During a lengthy audit for the 2018-19 fiscal year district officials were made aware of a nearly $4 million surplus in the district’s fund balance in January.

We know that these are certainly unique, and challenging times. There can be no doubt that our administrators and our staff were not anticipating turning our existing educational system on its head, and pivoting to online instruction. Parents and students didn't anticipate this change either.
After week one, we would like a little feedback from families to see how we can modify and continue to improve the system. Please take a moment to answer these questions and we will use the answers to help us as we move forward with our online delivery model.

Welcome class of 2033: Kindergarten registration is now open.
RIFLE – The coronavirus cannot keep the Class of 2033 from furthering their education.
The Garfield Re-2 School District has officially opened the online kindergarten enrollment portal at https://bit.ly/re2_classof2033. The registration portal can also be found on the Garfield Re-2 website at www.garfieldre2.net. Registration information is available in both English and Spanish.
Traditionally, parents and guardians are asked to complete the online portion and then finalize the registration process with an in-person follow-up meeting to provide supporting documentation. This year, families are encouraged to upload all of their supporting documentation via the online portal. School secretaries will contact registered families to follow up regarding their prospective kindergarten students.
