ATTENDANCE
- School front doors open 7:00 am-7:45 am. Any student arriving after 7:45am is considered tardy and it is documented.
- West door opens from 7:15 am to 7:40 am. The doors close promptly at 7:40 am with warning.
- Students/Parents should not cross in the way of incoming traffic. Crossing guards are provided at two of our busiest intersections for safe crossing.
- Students that are being dropped off, safety patrol and staff are available to assist with backpacks. Please stay in your vehicle.
- Dismissal cards (green) should be visible during afternoon dismissal.
- Carpool should run seamlessly with active eyes on the directions of traffic.
We ask that you follow these safety tips to allow for all students to arrive and dismiss safely.
TRUANCY
· Aldridge family, we have had an increase in tardies over the past few weeks. We’d like to offer as much as help possible! Please remember that our students days are dependent on how they start their day. If they start late or rushed, they never feel that they are able to catch up in the day. Here are the following options to help get our Ocelots on the right path:
- School doors open at 7:00 am every day
- Breakfast is available for purchase in the cafeteria from 7:15-7:40 am
- Classroom doors open at 7:30 am
- Announcements start at 7:45 am
Students who now have earned more than 5 tardies will be contacted by their classroom teacher first and then any after 5 will be communicated by the Administration Team. Truancy can be filed on students who have repeatedly been tardy.
Let’s work together in getting our Ocelots here to school on time, ready to learn!
DRESS CODE
· Please be mindful of district policy on dress code. The weather is getting cooler and layers may need to be added on. Please be sure to place your name in your articles of clothing (jackets/sweaters) so should they be misplaced, they can return to their owner.
NO PETS ALLOWED ON CAMPUS
- 7:00 am - 8:00 am Arrival
- 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm Dismissal
FRIENDLY REMINDER: Our enrollment has increased which limits the amount of space for lunch. So, we are quickly running out of space for our grade levels to eat lunch. Use only the first two clearly marked tables when you enter the cafeteria. Once those tables are full, you are welcome to utilize the picnic tables outside.* Friday's seem to be our most popular day for lunch visits.
*Should our enrollment continue to increase, there may be a limitation of visits implemented for lunch.
Be sure to read our weekly Smore Newsletter in its entirety. There is lots of important information included.
Are you in need of...
- A meeting on campus
- Lunch with your child
- Early dismissal (early pick-up)
**In order to ensure the safety of students, parents, and staff and follow PISD visitor policies, you must be prepared to show us your ID.**
Thank you,
