The Wrangler Review

April 20, 2020

From the Principal's Pen

During these uncertain times of school closures and significant shifts away from normal routines, we are most grateful for our families. We recognize that these changes have an impact on us all and your consistent encouragement and support of our students during their new learning environment is critical to their success. We also recognize the impact that these events have had on our families and our students' academic journeys. It is during just these times that we must all take a step back to remember the big picture. This is a time to focus on-and be grateful for- your family's safety, health, and well-being. We realize that each family is experiencing this time differently depending on the work commitments the adults are juggling, varied structures of families, and the unique needs of each child. We are in this together and will work through these issues-together. I want to extend my sincere appreciation to the many parents that have encouraged and expressed your thanks and support for the amazing dedicated efforts of our teachers who have put in long hours and hard work to provide the best learning experiences for our students in these unknown and challenging times. Their perseverance, tenacity, and determination in taking care of the learning needs of our children has been exceptional- a true testament to their passion for our students. We miss you all and want you to stay safe. Although we are disappointed that we will not return to school this year, we are thankful for leaders that are working to ensure our safety and well being. As a Wrangler family, I hope we will all take this time to make building strong family relationship a priority. We could all benefit from broadening our definition of learning and focus on playtime, downtime, and family time, all while guiding our children to continue to develop skills like reading, problem solving, communication, health & wellness, creativity and collaboration. Be patient with your children and family, and yourself. Consistently extending grace to one another as we travel this road together is crucial. I look forward to seeing you all soon and hope that you are able to embrace and enjoy this family time and stay healthy. We wish our Wranglers well.
