Deepening Connections-Willing to Serve?
Care Meals (at life events): We plan to use the website "Meal Train" to organize hot meals as we care for one another. We need a "point person" or main contact.
This person will contact family to get a sense of their needs (how many meals, dietary needs, etc.) and then set up the webpage. It is a super easy webpage to use--we can teach you how to use it.
Easter Greeters: We would like to have extra Greeters on Easter Sunday, April 21. We are looking for 4 to 5 people to staff the main door, the side/Luther Hall door, and then one or two people to be stationed to help direct people to the sanctuary from Luther Hall.
Please contact Pastor Heather Arnold if you have questions or are interested.
Busy Bag Help Needed
We are in need of someone (or a group, family) to organize and keep the bags in good order. They often need to be restocked, cleaned out, updated, etc.
This easy task could be done at any time during the week or month.
If you are interested, please contact Pastor Heather for more details.

Matter of Balance Class Starts April 4th
The Matter of Balance program sponsored by the Central Illinois Agency on Aging is being offered again at First English beginning Thursday, April 4th.
This is an 8-week (2 hrs. per week) fall prevention class.
This class is for anyone who is concerned about falls, anyone interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength, anyone who has fallen in the past, and/or anyone who has restricted their activities because of falling.
You will learn to view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risks at home, and exercise to increase strength and balance.
The class will meet on Thursday mornings from 10am to noon from April 4th to May 23rd at FELC. We need 8-12 people to make a class. A fee of $4 is suggested for program materials.
