Definition- There are two different types of location. One type is absolute location which means the specific location. The other type is relative location which means the approximate location.

Absolute- 45.6333° N, 94.5667° W

Relative- From Albany drive down about 2 1/2 miles on CO Rd 10 and look for a yellow shed.

Human-Environmental Interaction

Definition- How people adapt, modify, and depend on the environment. Can be positive or negative.

I adapt to my environment by changing what I wear depending on what the weather is like.

I modify my environment by cutting down trees and cleaning up broken trees twigs off the ground.

I depend on my environment by depending on trees for oxygen.


Definition: the way people, products, ideas and information move from one place to another.

I use transportation by driving around in a car.

A product I have from another country is a shirt I have. My shirt is from Nicaragua.

I communicate by texting and calling.

Definition: An area that is defined by certain similar characteristics. There are both physical and human features of a region. Physical features are natural and human features are man made.
