3 Keys to a Successful First Day of School

  1. Be sure that your student wears a mask when they come to Prairie Point. All students and staff are expected to wear masks while at Prairie Point.

  2. Due to COVID-19, no visitors will be allowed into the building. This means that parents/guardians will NOT be allowed to walk their child to their classroom on the first day of school. Please send your child with their teacher's name on the first day of school. You can write it on a slip of paper that they can carry. It can sometimes be hard to hear some of our younger students through masks. Students having the teacher name readily available will help us on the first day of school.

  3. Make sure that you and your child have taken time to watch your child's teacher's back to school video. If you missed the video, you can view it by clicking here.

Do You Know A Park Hill Star?

The Park Hill Star recognition program was started in 2015 to celebrate support staff and teachers whose work is especially noteworthy.

The following is an overview of the Park Hill Star Program:

Our employees are the reason we are so successful here in the Park Hill School District, and we would like to recognize them for all they do for our students.
That is why we present the Park Hill Star award once a month to a pre-K or elementary teacher, a secondary teacher and a support employee.

Health Guidelines for Students and Staff

Students and staff who are feeling sick must stay home. Parents will self-assess students for Covid-19 symptoms. Staff will self-assess for Covid-19 symptoms daily. All members of our Park Hill family will follow these guidelines to screen for symptoms of COVID-19, and must stay home if ill.

Our 5 Pillars of Prevention

Throughout the summer, we have been working hard to modify our building procedures and practices to make Prairie Point as safe as possible. This work has resulted in a 5 Pillars of Prevention Matrix. The 5 Pillars include: Hand Hygiene, Social Distancing, Cleaning and Disinfecting, Cohort Groups and Masks.

Please take some time to learn about Prairie Point's Health and Safety Precautions. Click here to access our matrix and other health information.
