Walker Elementary

Week of December 7-11, 2020

A Message from Mrs. Ryan & Mrs. Farris

Dear Walker Families,

This week we will return to face to face instruction at Walker Elementary. We appreciate your support last week as students learned remotely. Please remember to charge your child's device and return to school fully charged with the charger on Monday. We can't wait to have all of our Wildcats back in school with us on Monday.

This week is Razorback Spirit for Wacky Wednesday on December 9th. Dress in your favorite Razorback gear or wear red to support Circle of Life Hospice. You can donate $1.00 on Wacky Wednesdays to support Circle of Life Bear Bags. Bear bags go to children who have a loved one who in hospice care.

We are preparing for our classroom parties which will be on Thursday, December 17th. Since our buildings are closed to outside visitors, parents can still help out by sending items. Your child's teacher will be sending home a newsletter with items that are needed for the class.

If your child tests positive for Covid or is a close contact of someone who tested positive for Covid, please fill out the district Covid forms linked below. If you have any questions regarding Covid, our school nurse can be reached by calling the school Monday-Friday from 7:45 am - 3:15 pm. Governor Asa Hutchinson announced new quarantine guidelines, effective immediately, for asymptomatic people who are exposed to COVID-19. These new guidelines will be in place going forward. For more information from Dr. Cleveland, regarding the new quarantine guidelines, please click on the newsletter below.

Thank you for partnering with us for your child's education. We are here for your child each and every day. If there is a question, concern, or even an idea to share, please reach out to your child's teacher or to either one of us. Please follow us on Facebook to see posts with pictures about things that are happening with our students.

Thank you,

Mrs. Lynn Ryan, Principal, lryan@sdale.org

Mrs. Carrie Farris, Assistant Principal, cfarris@sdale.org

A Message from Mrs. Ryan & Mrs. Farris en español

Gracias,

Sra. Lynn Ryan, Directora, lryan@sdale.org

Sra. Carrie Farris, subdirectora, cfarris@sdale.org
