If love were a disease, would you be infected?

Delirium is a must-see movie based on the same-titled book, Delirium, by Lauren Oliver. Lena Halloway has always wanted the cure, the cure that will free her from ever contracting the disease of falling in love known as Amor Deliria Nervosa. She wants to excel at her evaluations so that she can go to college and get assigned a perfect match for her. However, you cannot get the cure until you turn 18. And what happens when the perfect guy comes into your life at 17? Watch this movie to see how Lena and her best friend Hana prepare for evaluations and life after the cure. Better yet, keep a closer eye on the mysterious Alex as he changes Lena's perspective on this supposed disease. When it comes to love, do you follow your heart or your head?

"Love: It kills you both when you have it and when you don't." ~Lauren Oliver

Invalids Are Among Us

There has been much speculation over whether or not Invalids actually exist in a place known as "The Wilds". Recently, we have had more evidence come to light that makes it appear as though this place really is more than a cautionary tale for those who fall in love. For example, Tommy Warner was playing soccer with his friends when he kicked the ball all the way to the supposed electrified fence. However, when the ball hit the fence.....NOTHING! After throwing sticks at the fence, Tommy wanted to look cool in front of his 3rd grade peers after he was dared to touch the fence. Then, he even climbed through the fence. He even claims that he saw someone on the other side peering at him through the woods. Therefore, it MUST be true! Invalids do live beyond the fence in "The Wilds". The real question here is, "If Tommy can so easily get out of the fence, then just how easily have the Invalids been getting in?" The infected Invalids are among us. Beware!

Remembering Alex Sheathes

Alex Sheathes A Leader of the Resistance,

Mr Sheathes was born on December 1, 2001 in Portland, Maine, and he died in 2020.

He was known as a great love to Lena Halloway. While he was so young to die by gunshot, he will always be remembered by the people in The Wilds. I only wish that he would have lived long enough to see the effects of the resistance. While love is still frowned upon by most of Portland, many more sympathizers are joining our forces. His goal was to be able to walk with Lena, his girlfriend, hand in hand around the square. While he might not be able to do that, we hope that soon, many more couples will be able to help make that dream a reality. You will be remembered forever as a leader and a martyr of the resistance.

Mr Sheathes was 19 years old at the time of death. Mr Sheathes's last residence was Portland.
