DCMS Meet the Teacher Event - Monday, August 6th in Two Sessions

Meet the Teacher will occur in two sessions, from 1 - 4 P.M. and then from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. The Meet the Teacher event is an informal, drop by activity that allows both parents, students, and teachers to meet the one another. The goal is to begin building a positive relationship in order to help our students best succeed. Parents and students may attend either session. Please choose the session that is most convenient for you. The DCMS staff will be excited to meet you!

New Transportation Policy for Bus Passes

In order to be sure parents know about transportation changes, all requests to ride a bus other than a student's assigned bus must now be requested using the DCSC Bus Change Form. The form is available on the website and is located here for you to download: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UZuafUPhTgW1RYXh_Si3juekXZOpA64x/view?usp=sharing.

Picking Up Your Student After School: What is the process?

To ensure the safety of all our students, there is a specific process that we ask all parents and guardians to use when picking up your student after school. Cars are to enter the parking lot and follow the serpentine pattern as noted by the green arrows in the maps below. The serpentine traffic patterns allows traffic to flow smoothly in and out of the lots. Students are not permitted to cross the parking lot. Students may use the sidewalks to be picked up at the curb. Parents and guardians are asked to follow this plan strictly for the safety of our students and for the efficiency of the process.

As we all adjust to the expectations of the process, please be patient and kind to one another. We all want to model positive behavior for our students even when frustration hits. Let's work together.
