Best Friends Day
Today is Best Friends Day. What a lovely sentiment. Whether your best friend is family, chosen fam, pet, near, or far - today, let them know how very special they are to you. Without friends, where would we be? Who would laugh at our jokes? Who would pick us up when feeling down? Who would tell us when we're off keel? Who would celebrate us when we succeed? Think about it and then think about how lucky you are to have a friend at all. It's a small thing to let them know how much they mean to you. I wrote two haikus about best friends this morning:
Person so perfect
You deem to call them the best
You should tell them too
Friends are rolling waves
That never break, lifting you
Then cushion the fall
