PA Youth Survey
By recognizing youth's effort, trusted adults can increase a child's sense of value, improve the emotional health of youth and expect better outcomes related to underage substance use. For professional tips for how you can best recognize effort in youth, use the link below:
We are pleased to partner with West Chester Communities That Care to highlight this topic which is essential to youth development. West Chester Communities That Care uses an evidence-based coalition model to improve outcomes for youth, specifically around the areas of mental health, underage substance use and violence.

STEM Innovation Summer Academies
Hello from the Fugett PTO!
Thanks to all of our volunteers who helped with Rare Diseases Celebration Day! The kids had fun and the school looks great with all of the paper chains that were hung!
COMMITTEE CHAIRS WANTED!
IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN! We are thinking about next year. We have two committees that need a chair:
- Philanthropy Committee: The chair of this committee monitors the blue Food Cupboard bin in the Main Office and takes the donations to the WC Food Cupboard in the borough (Usually a monthly donation). The chair also purchases the gift cards once the annual Gift Card Fund Drive is over and gives them to our social worker for distribution.
- Fright Night: This could be a two-person chair. (Many hands make light work!) The chair(s) of this committee oversee the event of Fright Night held in October. This is a well-oiled machine which has specific notes and instructions for it. The commitment is for September and October. It is mostly emails for planning and then in person for the week of the event.
If you are interested in either of these committees or just want more information, please email the PTO at FugettPTO@gmail.com.
COUGAR FOR A CAUSE GIFT CARD FUND DRIVE
Our annual Cougar Cause Gift Card Fund Drive has begun and will run through the month of February. With the funds that we collect, we will be able to purchase Giant, ShopRite and other stores’ gift cards that our school caseworker will distribute to Fugett families in need during the course of the year. Click on the flyer link below to donate and help our families!
COUGAR CAUSE GIFT CARD FUND DRIVE INFORMATION
Thank you to everyone who came out and supported Fugett Middle School last week at Panera! It was a rainy night, but a good night to not cook! Thanks again to Hilary Kendro for organizing it!
The Cougar Cause and the West Chester Food Cupboard
As the cool weather sets in, hot meals become even more important to those struggling to feed their families. Please consider placing a donation for the Food Cupboard in the blue bin marked “Food Cupboard”, found in the main entrance vestibule. You are welcome to send them in with your child and have them place the items in the blue bin.
Items most needed are canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, jelly, canned meats, pasta, rice and beans and any toiletries. Any items that you can spare are always gratefully accepted. We continue this much needed service throughout the year. Thanks for your support!
