Money, Water, Sex

& The Fabric of Community

Coming up on August 22, 2013!

An Evening with Charles Eisenstein & Benjamin von Mendelssohn

and sound intro by Amit Carmeli

To heal this planet and humanity, a radical and comprehensive SYSTEM CHANGE is needed. The Earth is crying out to our hearts for this change! To manifest this shift, we have to develop alternative models for the core building blocks of society – both in terms of material resources, such as water, food and energy – but also within the very threads of the social fabric – such as love, sexuality, community and spirituality.

Join visionary thought-leaders Charles Eisenstein, author of ‘Sacred Economics’ and Benjamin von Mendelssohn, co-leader of Tamera Healing Biotope 1 - a community-based model for regenerative living with over 30 years experience - for this special awareness-raising and fund-raising event.

Charles Eisenstein...

will reflect on pathways for moving from the stories, mythologies and paradigms that lead to the impoverishment of inner and outer structures – whether money, intimacy, water, biodiversity, time, beauty, or ecospheric integrity – toward a healed picture for life on earth.

will share examples of Tamera’s autonomous, emerging model – Healing Biotopes and cultural innovations – that will inspire us with a realistic and exhilarating sense of what is concretely possible – right now – for humanity to move into a new era on planet earth – rooted in peace, trust, and cooperation.

Our Evening

Over the course of the evening, we will uncover and refocus our vision, and connect to our new collective story – not just in words – but in the palpable sense that we are part of a new dream becoming manifest, through all of us.

And as we unfold a truly global perspective, we will ask for your support for the Terra Nova Testfield – Tamera’s budding project to further develop this new model, to inform and benefit communities around the world.

The Terra Nova Testfield

The Testfield is emerging as a core element of the Tamera Peace Research Village in Portugal. The central focus is cooperation between human beings and all fellow creatures, in service of the Earth. The goal is to achieve the highest possible level of autonomy in material resources – water, food and energy – while implementing community processes that support cooperation and trust. It will be a setting for the planetary community to create a testfield for the coming culture, weaving together best knowledge and practices from around the world.

Here, participants and researchers will engage in this daily experiment, offer their best practices and receive continuous guidance and training for their most pressing inner questions. Incorporating these elements of inner transformation is key as most projects fail due to inner and inter-human conflict.

The Testfield is the natural next step for the projects already well-established at Tamera: models of water retention and landscape restoration, ecological self-monitoring (permaculture) and efficient food production, energy production from renewable resources in the multifunctional Solar Village (by Jürgen Kleinwächter), biogas application, community resilience, simple water sanitation for all and many more aspects. Tamera seeks to bring all these components together into one integral life-system. Its technological, ecological and social structures converge in a synergetic unit which can serve as a base for the development of a non-violent humanity on planet Earth.
