Krispy Kreme Fundraiser
All orders and funds are due to East Albemarle on November 2nd. Please check your child's documents and money collection envelope to be sure the numbers match. This will save us from having to call you during the day to settle a discrepancy. :)
Doughnuts, coffee and cards will be available for pick up on November 10th, 5:00 - 6:30 pm, in the East Albemarle cafe. This is the same timeframe as our Popcorn and Pajama Party event! Come party with us and pick up your Krispy Kreme orders.
Friday, November 11th is Veteran's Day and a holiday. Students will not attend school on this day. If perishable doughnut orders are not picked up on Thursday evening, they will be donated to a local food bank. Thank you in advance for picking up your orders on time to keep your Krispy Kreme customers happy!
Join us for a Popcorn & Pajama Party
Save the date! You are invited to East Albemarle's Popcorn & Pajama Party on Thursday, November 10th, 2022, 5:00 - 6:30 pm.
One of the most important activities families can do to prepare children for success is to set aside time each night for reading. Our goal for this event is to offer families strategies to help their children with reading to make the experience motivating and meaningful. What goes well with a good book? Comfy pajamas and a snack! ;)
In addition to reading strategies, we will also review strategies for math problem solving and share resources for academic practice at home.
Two sessions will be offered to accommodate families with busy schedules and/or multiple children at East Albemarle. The first session will begin in homeroom classes at 5:00 pm, the second session will begin at 5:45 pm. Families are encouraged to embrace the theme of the evening by wearing their favorite pajamas! Popcorn will be served!
Allen's BBQ Shack in the Back, a local food truck will also be on site the evening of November 10th. Families may purchase hotdogs, chips and drinks!
Lastly, families who supported East Albemarle by selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts, coffee and/or cards {thank you!} may visit the cafe during the Popcorn and Pajama Party to pick up orders for their customers, 5:00 - 6:30 pm.
$5 Technology Fees are Due!

Dress Code Reminder
First Quarter Conferences
Schedule the conference at a time when you AND your child can attend. And, please make every effort to honor the time of your child's teacher by attending on-time. They will be setting this time aside just for you and your child!
First Quarter Merit Event
On November 9th we will celebrate students who consistently demonstrated our BARK expectations during the first quarter with a fall field day event. Students who earned 300 Class Dojo points AND had NO suspensions (bus, ISS, OSS) during the quarter will receive a merit event invitation in their Tuesday Folder on November 1st! They will be able to participate in sack races, football drills, giant Jenga, face painting, and much more on November 9th! We are looking forward to a fun day celebrating the great choices they have made!
Encourage your child to start the second quarter strong by BARKing! We expect students to ...
Be positive!
Act responsibly!
Respect yourself and others!
Know and use self control!
The Class Dojo point goal for second quarter is 300 points, and again students must not earn any suspensions.
Merit Event Donation Request
To prepare for our November 9th merit event, we are requesting donations of small 10 oz bottles of water and Capri-Sun juice packs. If you are able to make a donation we would be most appreciative! Donations may be dropped off in the car rider line, at the Main Office, or sent to school with your child. We will collect donations through November 8th.
