Please see the PTO communication regarding the dates and times of Running Club. IMPORTANT- There will be no Running Clubs on 4/17. This is a change from what is on the monthly calendar. Additionally, the running club yearbook photos will take place during the after school sessions this week.

5/3 College and Career Afternoon for 5th grade students. Please contact Mrs. Stewart if you are interested in speaking about your career path/ career. We would love to have you. ( More information will be given from Mrs. Stewart, our guidance counselor, when we get closer to the date.)
5/7 Fifth Grade Reading Olympics Competition at TCHS Brandywine. Therefore, the Chorus Concert has been rescheduled to 5/15 @ 7 P. M. at Glen Acres.
5/16 Track Meet for Fourth and Fifth Grade Students at WCU ( Rain Date 5/20) - More information to follow.
5/24 Diversity Day @ GA for all students in grades k-5. It is a day that we celebrate and learn more about different cultures.We will send Information from our guidance counselor, Mrs. Stewart, when we get closer to the date.
5/29 Field Day at GA, all students participate (more information to follow)
Fifth Grade Celebration/Graduation will be on the last day of school in the GA gym. More Information to follow.
The classroom teachers in grades k-4 will communicate their end of year celebrations.
A Few Reminders:
If you are moving and will be going to school somewhere else, please let our office know.
Finally, please remember to send in notes if you have a change in dismissal plans for your child.

Important PSSA Information for the Families with Students in Grades 3-5
PTO Information: Are You Interested in Being A Board Member for 2019-2020?
It’s that time of the year again, PTO Board Member Elections!
Elections will be held at our meeting on May 9th. New Officers take on the responsibilities of their elected position within 10 days following the end of the school year!
Below you will find the positions and a description of their duties throughout the year. Nominations for PTO Board Member positions must be received by April 26th. Nominations shall be submitted to any current Board Member or via email (gaepto@gmail.com).
Co-Presidents (2) –
· Preside over all meetings of the PTO and Board.
· General supervision of affairs.
· Appoint the chairpersons of all standing committees and shall be members ex officio of all committees.
· Act as liaison between the Board and the Principal.
Co-Vice Presidents (2)
· Act as aids to the co-presidents and shall perform the duties of the co-presidents in the absence or inability of those officers to serve.
· Perform any such duties as may be assigned to them by the co-presidents or the Board.
Recording Secretary
· Record and distribute the minutes of all meetings of the PTO and Board
· Perform any such duties as may be assigned to them by the co-presidents or the Board.
Corresponding Secretary
· Responsible for all correspondence of the PTO and shall perform
· Perform any such duties as may be assigned to them by the co-presidents or the Board.
Treasurer
· Receive all monies of the PTO and keep an accurate record of receipts and expenditures.
· Pay out funds in accordance with the approved budget as authorized by the PTO.
· Present a financial report that shows inflow and outflows as well as reconciled cash balance at every meeting of the PTO and at any other time when requested by the Board.
· Work closely with the Board to ascertain that appropriate procedures are being followed in the financial affairs of the organization.
· Perform any such duties as may be assigned to them by the co-presidents or the Board.
In addition to the above duties, officers will be responsible for coordinating the following activities (as
deemed necessary): Grade Level Parent Coordinator, Membership, Newsletter, Non-fundraiser Socials,
PTOC, Giant+ Rewards, Hershey Park Tickets, Assignment Books, Field Day Co-ordination1 in 10 children experience sexual abuse before age 18. Over 90% of children know their abuser. We can change that.
