PACE NEWS

  • Parent Volunteers Needed: PACE is excited to announce that we are creating a new committee to encourage and support families in quarantine. On the occasion that this happens, we want the families to still feel connected to the school and others. The idea of this committee is to make contact with those families remotely during a lonely time. A few examples of support would be to drop off a meal, send a card of encouragement, or provide a little treat basket; something to let the families know they are not alone. We are asking for parents that are willing, to please sign up to be a part of this exciting new opportunity! Thank you for your consideration! To sign up please contact Christina Johnson, PACE President, at 712-441-5823 or email trewmarine@hotmail.com

  • From the Box Top Committee: Our first Clip ‘N’ Count will be Thursday, October 15. All Box Tops will earn $$ for SCCS. ALL Box Tops should be turned in because of the expiration date of 11/2020. Please contact Kristy Van Wyk (712) 449-5365 or Jackie Altena (712) 449-5797 with questions.

FOOD SERVICE NEWS

  • Dishwasher volunteers needed: We could use more dishwashers to help out in the kitchen from 11:15-1:00 each day. If you would like to help out you can sign up here. If you have questions, contact Eileen (ebuiter@siouxcenterchristian.com).
  • You can find the lunch and dishwashing schedule here.

BUSING REMINDER FOR WEDNESDAYS AND FRIDAYS

As we announced last week, Sioux Center Public will be having full days of school on Wednesdays and 2 hour early outs on Fridays. We will be keeping our same schedule with a 2:05 dismissal on Wednesdays and a full day of school on Fridays. We will still have busing at our usual time, however, routes will be different on Wednesdays and Fridays. If your child is a bus rider, please check the attached schedule and talk with your child about which bus they should be riding on Wednesdays and Fridays (beginning this week, October 7). The bus they get on at Sioux Center Christian School will be the bus they ride for the afternoon (no transfers on Wed. and Fri.). The bus number is highlighted and the list is in order of drop off. If your child is riding the same bus, they may be getting off at a different time. We have the order of drop offs, but not exact times listed. Morning routes will stay the same and Monday, Tuesday, Thursday afternoon routes will be as they currently are. If you have any questions, please contact the office.
