Weekly Updates
Week of Sept. 18th
We have several holidays to celebrate and acknowledge! National Hispanic-Heritage Month began Sept. 15 - Oct. 15...Click here to learn a bit more about terms "Latino, Hispanic, Lantix and Chicano"
Rosh Hashanah also began at sundown on Friday Sept. 15th. Happy New Year!
Tuition Preschool Classrooms:
We understand the transition to school can cause regression in toilet-training. It is a requirement for our program that all students are toilet-trained. We will continue to work with students and families towards building a relationship and comfort level using the bathrooms at school. Please communicate with the classroom teachers if your child is experiencing an issue. We typically allow for 30 days from the start of the school year for students to be nearly 100% toilet-trained. We understand accidents happen, however we do not have the staffing capacity and ratio to assist in full toilet-training. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Emergency Drills
This week we have another emergency drill. Monday afternoon we will have a fire drill. All students walk single-file out the most direct doors and meet on the blacktop near the elementary playground. Teachers take attendance and use a green or red poster to quickly notify administration if a student or staff member is unaccounted for. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Upcoming Dates:
Sept. 12 -- Secure Mode Drill (1:15pm)
Sept. 28 -- GSRP No School
Oct. 11 & 12-- Picture Day (teachers will notify which day)
Thank you,
Mrs. Truesdell

Parents will enter through our ECC main office (door #27). Extended Care begins at 7:30 and ends at 5:30 which is outside of our main office hours. You will call our program cellphone or ring our doorbell to notify staff you have arrived. If you are within the normal office hours, you will be buzzed in by office staff.
When you arrive please place your child's items in their "Extended Care Lockers" which are located right outside the main office. This is also where you will gather your child's belongings if they stay for After Care. The Extended Care Program is housed in room 108, the Gray Elephant Classroom!
