Live to Give
Next week we will be talking about Making a Difference!
The Live to Give Mindset teaches the importance of serving others while maximizing our own potential. It tells us that abundance in life is a cycle; in order to receive love, respect, and financial security, we must first learn to give those things to others. This mindset also teaches us that the greatest gift we can ever give is to find and leverage our unique genius to maximize our positive impact on the world, knowing that good things will be returned to us in kind. In the lessons for this mindset, we guide students to think about the impact they want to make and the legacy they want to leave.
Make a Difference – The easiest and quickest way to feel better and become happier is to help someone else. Similarly, the best way to bring more good things into our lives is to start giving. When we do this, we create value with our lives and begin to receive value in return. In order to start or expand the flow of abundance in our lives, we must simply start making a difference every day in every little way that we can.

Brookwood Read-A-Thon
Brookwood Elementary has decided to hold a
Read-a-Thon this year!
Read-a-thons actually get your reader excited about reading and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more. Our Read-a-thon starts Monday, March 1, 2021.
We've chosen Read-a-thon because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read and helps in the development of stronger reading skills.
Please be on the lookout for a code from your teacher to sign up! We hope EVERYONE participates.
Walk to School Day
We are excited to host another Brookwood Walk to School Day on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 7:10 - 7:30 a.m. (Students must be in school by 7:40 a.m.). Walking to school is a great way for kids to exercise and it also helps reduce traffic near schools. Our mission is to teach kids important pedestrian safety skills and create safer walking environments for everyone in our community.
Walk to school from your neighborhood if you live nearby. If not, park at Eastgate Church and walk with your child to school. We will start walking at 7:10 a.m. and stop walking at 7:30 a.m. to ensure everyone gets to school on time. Police Officers and Teachers will be outside to help.
We ask that you practice social distancing and encourage you to wear masks.
If you have any Questions, please do not hesitate to contact Chad May at cmay@forsyth.k12.ga.us and/or Donna Feuerbach at dlfeuerbach@forsyth.k12.ga.us.
