Principal's Message
Good evening everyone,
This is a friendly reminder that ALL Barbieri Students need to bring coats to school! Students go outside for 30 minutes of recess time every day to enjoy fresh air and physical activity as long as its safe to do so. Our teachers are encountering daily challenges of students not having the proper outerwear to go outdoors. Please help us at home by ensuring students have the appropriate outerwear to enjoy recess.
If you are in need of winter gear please don't hesitate to contact us directly in the main office at (508) 626-9187, please ask to speak to Ms. Rebecca Salguero, our Wraparound Coordinator, she will be able to assist you.
Gracias a todos,
Maria
Barbieri School's Scholastic Book Fair 📚
A very special thank you to our Barbieri PTO Presidents, Alisha and Sarah, and Vice President, Leah, for all of their support in overseeing last week's successful book fair week at Barbieri.
THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR VOLUNTEERS for showing up for our students!
If you have any questions regarding volunteering opportunities, please feel free to reach out to the Barbieri PTO at barbieriptopresident@gmail.com
Thank you Liz K. & Wendy B. for overseeing Family Game Night & Grade 5 Bake Sale
Thank you to Ms. Henry and the fabulous crew from FHS!🎭
Barbieri students in grades 3, 4, and 5 enjoyed a presentation of Sonoma White and the Seven..er..Eight Dolts. It is a funny take on Snow White. The play was created by FHS students and acted by FHS students. Two of the actors are former Barbieri Students. Students were able to engage in a question and answer session at the end. THANK YOU TO MS. HENRY AND THE WHOLE FHS CREW!
COOPERATION
Our theme this month is Cooperation! Take a look at the Smore for songs, morning meetings, activities and read alouds that all Barbieri Students will be engaging in throughout the month.
We had a great World Cup Spirit Day on Friday! ⚽
STUDENTS NEED COATS FOR RECESS 🧤🧣❄️🧥
Teachers are encouraged to take their students out every day, unless weather conditions make it unsafe. Our Hawks need fresh air, sunshine and physical activity! Students participating in recess will NEED TO WEAR A COAT. Please send your child to school with A COAT and any other necessary accessories to safely enjoy outdoor play! Recess is now 30 minutes every day. It is not safe for students to be outdoors without coats for that long period of time during chilling temperatures.
We do have extra outerwear available here Barbieri School so please call the main office at (508) 626-9187, if you need assistance! The office can connect you with Ms. Rebecca Salguero, our school Wraparound Coordinator, will be happy to help you!

PARENT TEACHER HOME VISITS
The school district is restarting the partnership with the Parent Teacher Home Visits (PTHV) Program to strengthen relationships between families and schools and to improve academic accomplishment, family participation, and communication between school and home.
Educators' (including aides and assistant teachers) and families' participation in the Parent Teacher Home Visits Program is optional.
The visits are in pairs, and the educators contact the families to invite them to partake in the home visit, which takes 30 to 40 minutes. Interpreters can be arranged if needed.
