Everyday, the staff at Glen Lake receives a #onegreatthingtoday email, highlighting great happenings around Glen Lake. This #onegreatthingtoday occurred on Thursday, March 14th...Pi Day. Mrs. Williams made a deal with her students that if they remembered the first 50 digits of Pi, they could throw a pie at her face.
The fascinating video is worth a sore neck (sorry the sideways video!)
Radel Reads for the month of March
The book all Grizzlies will hear for March is "Even Superheroes have Bad Days!" The lesson here is how everyone experiences a range of emotions on bad days...frustration, anger, sadness. It's how we use our internal super powers to make the right choices when we are having bad days. We relate it to our "Zones of Regulations", which is described in the image below.

Glen Lake 2018-2019 Yearbook
It is not too late to order your 2018/2019 yearbook. Order your yearbook online at ybpay.lifetouch.com Yearbook ID: 1550419. The order deadline is next Friday, March 29. We will not be able to accept orders after this date.
Imagination Fair
Our Imagination Fair last night produced a fantastic turnout! Our students had an opportunity to express their interests, creativity, and curiosity! From showing the effects of using recycled toilet paper to the possibility to use oil from fast food restaurants to seal docks, and everything in between. Thanks to all the parent volunteers who made this event happen!
Book Fair
Once again, thanks to our Glen Lake families, our Book Fair sales reached $11,350! Your shopping and donations to the All for Books program allowed each classroom to receive dozens of new books for students to enjoy! It also allowed us to have a fun drawing every morning during the book fair, where a student in each class won a free item. The Media Center could not be happier as they will receive over 100 books and funds to keep things running perfectly. Most importantly, the Book Fair brings our Glen Lake community together and fosters our children’s love of reading.
