Sorrick Family Focus
Week of April 15th , 2019
A big thank you to everyone who came out to the dance Friday night! We appreciate you supporting our PTA and hope that you all had a fantastic evening. Additionally, I would like to thank all the families who donated to our American Heart Association Kids Heart Challenge fundraiser. Mr. Carson said that 1st grade students raised $1,836! We truly appreciate your generosity.
The "Paw"some Attendance game board has been updated and the newest theme is Chutes and Ladders! For every day that your child and the rest of his or her class have perfect attendance, they will get an opportunity to spin the wheel and play for a chance to earn an incentive. Starting April 29th, the entire school will participate in our ABC Countdown to Summer. Click here to view the calendar of activities. Let's finish out the school year with fantastic attendance and enjoy some celebratory activities until the the very end!
Just a friendly reminder, there is no school this Friday, April 19th or Monday, April 22nd. School will resume on Tuesday. Enjoy the long weekend!
Have a fantastic week!

Important Information for Parents
PowerSchool Parent Access
A PowerSchool Parent Access account allows you to check your child's report card each quarter. The link to sign into Parent Access is https://powerschool.npd117.net/public/. The instructions for how to open the report card can be found by clicking here. If you have not yet set up a PowerSchool Parent Access account, please follow these directions to do so. Please note that you will need an "AccessID and Access Password" for each of your children.
Volunteer & Visitor Guidelines
All parents who volunteer at school (whether it be in the classroom or on a field trip) must fill out our NPD117 Volunteer Guidelines forms and submit a copy of their photo ID. New volunteer guidelines are available to download here. Please read carefully, sign and return both pages fully completed with a current photo ID to the Sorrick office at least 7 days before attending.
Sorrick follows the PBIS system, which stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. Sorrick Cougars are expected to be safe, caring, respectful, here & ready to learn on a daily basis. Our students receive individual and class incentives for following these expectations.
