Today's Ross Round Up will include highlights from our year at Ross. What a year! Check out these video links from our YouTube channel.
- In September, we had KMS CAST come teach about our core value of Leadership.
- In October, we hosted our Jog-a-Thon and made over $4000, which paid for field trips and t-shirts! Mrs. Johnson's class won the Silly String War for being the top earners.
- In October, Popcorn Fridays started, with major donations from KJ's Super Store and Regal Cinemas.
- In October, students set Compassion goals and shared what they accomplished.
- In October, we also had a Rossome Halloween party.
- In November, we hosted a Veteran's Day lunch.
- In November, we had a popular visit from KHS Music programs. It was a party!
- In November, we also had a Community Movie in the gym. Kids dressed in PJs and enjoyed the time together.
- In December, we hosted a fierce Arm Wrestling Battle at lunch recess hosted by 4th grader Mason B.
- In December, we wore crazy Christmas sweaters!
- In December, we also started Art Club at lunch recess hosted by 4th grader Jaya.
- In January, students set goals about Innovation and shared their accomplishments.
- In January, our newly formed 5th grade CAST planned a school-wide activity that was so much fun. Here's students enjoying the activity.
- In January, KHS Drama performed "Dragons Love Tacos" for our student body.
- In February, we celebrated Valentine's Day.
- In March, we practiced for our awesome Music Program. Here's kids walking back from the KPAC after rehearsal. And here's the actual performance video. We heard from so many parents that it was the best program ever!
- In April, CAST planned and held an Easter Egg Hunt during lunch recess.
- In April, we hosted our AVID in Action Family Breakfast. We had an amazing turn out of parents and kids and it was so much fun. We also hosted our first AVID in Action showcase as a nationwide demonstration school.
- In May, our 4th graders enjoyed Wagons Ho!
- In May, students set values goals one last time and shared their achievements.
- In May, we celebrated with KSD graduates during the graduate walk. Some of our staff even had their own kids graduating.
- In May, we also welcomed our incoming 4th graders from Hubbard and Indian Creek to tour the school and meet the teachers. CAST leaders helped each group tour classes and have some fun activities together.
- Also in May, KHS CAST came to present to our students about Leadership. They enjoyed recess with our kids too.

This year was all about empowering students to lead and learn. We're proud of all that students have accomplished and we're thankful for the many staff members and community supports that have made it possible. We have worked hard and seen great things this year!
