The growth we made can be linked to the hard work of our teachers that was in response to the feedback we've received from all of you. We are always on a continuous improvement journey, so thanks for all the ways you help us grow and do better for your children.
In the coming weeks, we will be digging deeper into the results with our Building Leadership Team as well as our PTO to determine our next steps.
It is truly an honor and privilege to work with your children each and every day. Your feedback continues to help us improve the student and family experience at Muskego Lakes! Keep it coming!

“Our kids have no idea how lucky they are!”
In addition to this amazing feedback, 92% of our staff were acknowledged by name in our feedback! We will be celebrating and sharing this feedback with each and every staff member named.
Recess for Virtual Students
On Thursday, March 25th from 12:30 - 1:00pm, Muskego Lakes will host a recess period for all virtual students (Muskego Lakes & Lake Denoon students). Our goal is to give virtual students an opportunity to connect with other virtual students. This will be an outdoor recess and face coverings will be required at all times. In the event of a cancelation due to inclement weather, we will send a text to the families of virtual students.
Families should turn right at the fork in the main drive and park in the bus spaces located along the curb in front of the school. If all the bus spots are taken, you can choose any other parking space. Students should wait in the car until they see Mrs. Rydzewski or Mr. Krupar outside. Recess is available for virtual students only. Siblings will not be able to attend. Students will be walked back to the parking lot at 1:00. Families are welcome to leave and come back or wait for students to return at 1:00.
This will be a trial run to gauge the level of interest there is among families with virtual students. We will share more information about the future of recess for virtual students shortly after March 18th.

Muskego Lakes Book Study Opportunity
We have an opportunity to learn together through a book study using “The Explosive Child” by Ross Greene. Our staff have been trained in this collaborative problem solving approach so we are excited to share it with you as well! You will learn some key components in how to view challenging behaviors as well as how to problem solve with your child, instead of at or to them.
There will be a ‘live’ Google Meet every other Tuesday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm beginning on April 6. The group will meet for a total of five sessions.
Whether you are able to participate in the Google meets or not, we invite you to participate by joining the private Facebook group. That way, you can interact with others and engage in learning at times that work best for you. If you are on Facebook, you can search for “MLMS Book Study on “The Explosive Child,” and request to join.
If you’re interested but have not already signed up or have questions about joining using google meet, please email Stacey Malek, stacey.malek@muskegonorway.org or call 262-971-1860, x5402.
