Effects of Smoking

Smoking can cause many different effects on health and family relations. Did you know that 1200 people die each day from smoking-related illnesses? Think of how much that could effect you and your family. If a person from your family gets sick from smoking when they were younger you would have to take care of them a lot more. That person would have a very hard time breathing when walking or being active so they would stay in a wheelchair and would suffer thinking that, that family member is going to die.

What is a cigarette?

A cigarette, what some people might call a "threat to death," is poisons and cancer-causing agents rapped up in thin paper. Just one cigarette smoke can lead to addiction. Some of the ingredients found in a cigarette smoke are Tar, Carbon Monoxide, and Cadmium.

Personal Experience

I am glad to say that I am a healthy kid and have not had any experience with smoking, but I have had a friend that has. She has been under a lot of stress with family and school so she decided to start smoking at 14. After that one time she smoked her parents found out and told her water polo coach, so she got suspended from that sport from a long time. She is now getting help from a bunch of people and I hope that she never smokes again.
