Congratulations to our top 2 Spelling Bee Winners!!
CONGRATULATIONS to Andrea Medrano-Rivas for being our Simonton Spelling Bee winner!! She is leaving school today with a trophy and a brand new iPad. She will be representing Simonton at the county Spelling Bee in January.
CONGRATULATIONS to Noah Lambert for being our school Spelling Bee runner-up! If the winner cannot compete in the county Spelling Bee, Noah will represent SImonton.
All the contestants did an EXCELLENT job representing their classes and deserve a big CONGRATULATIONS also for being their class representatives!

Chromebook Return for Digital Students who are Changing from Digital to In-Person in January
IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY A DIGITAL STUDENT AND YOU WILL BE CHANGING IN JANUARY TO BE IN-PERSON, PLEASE PLAN ON BRINGING BACK YOUR CHROMEBOOK DECEMBER 17TH OR 18TH.
These devices need to be cleaned and sanitized before given to new digital students.
Those that return their devices will receive an ice cream coupon to be used at school in January.
Chromebook Check-out for 2nd Semester
If your child will be digital and will need a Chromebook, please go to our website and complete the the technology survey that appears in our Headline section.

Semester 2 Calendar Updates
The district will add an additional day of teacher planning at the beginning of the semester, which will mean the first day of the semester for students will be January 7, 2021. The second adjustment calls for the addition of four digital learning days during the semester (January 26, March 2, March 16, and April 20). These will be asynchronous learning days where students will learn from home, providing teachers additional days for planning during the semester.

Staying Healthy
A reminder for students who are attending in-person classes and all staff members… stay home if you:
- are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms;
- have tested positive or been diagnosed with COVID;
- are awaiting test results, or
- have been in close contact in the last 14 days with someone diagnosed with COVID or someone with COVID symptoms who is waiting for test results.
