Time to Get Ready for High School!
The high school band experience really is unlike anything else available to students in Texas. Through participation in high school band, students experience and learn:
- Teamwork
- Discipline
- Time Management
- Problem Solving Skills
- Personal Relationship Skills
- Perseverance
- and more than can be listed here...
As you start to think ahead (yes...it is only December - but it moves fast), please take a look at dates and other important information below.
One of the most common phrases from 9th grade parents is "I wouldn't have scheduled this trip" or "I wish I had planned around that event." My goal is to provide you with all the information possible so you can plan your student's schedule for maximum success and enjoyment of the activity.
Intro to Marching Band Camps
Remember - it's new for everyone!
- Tuesday, April 18th - 5:00pm to 8:00pm
- Monday, April 24th - 5:00pm to 8:00pm
- Wednesday, April 26th - 5:00pm to 8:00pm
Important:
- Wear comfortable outside clothing and athletic shoes
- Bring your instrument (unless you play a school owned instrument - we will provide those)
- Bring a water bottle
- Bring an open mind and be ready to have fun!
Class of 2027 - Parent Meeting
- Wednesday, April 26th - 6:30pm to 7:30pm

No student will ever be denied participation in the Creek Band Program for financial challenges. Please contact Mr. Fincher for further information. Don't panic - we will work with every financial situation to make band work for every student.
Full Band Pre-Summer "Music & Movement" Camp
- Tuesday, May 30th - 7:00am to 12:00pm
- Wednesday, May 31st - 7:00am to 12:00pm
- Thursday, June 1st - 7:00am to 12:00pm
- Friday, June 2nd - 7:00am to 12:00pm
Summer Band
- July 31st through August 4th - 7:00am to 4:00pm
- August 7th through August 11th - 7:00am to 4:00pm
- August 14th through August 18th - 5:00pm to 9:00pm
Weekly Rehearsal Schedule
- Monday - 6:00pm to 9:00pm
- Tuesday - 3:30pm to 6:00pm
- Thursday - 3:30pm to 6:00pm
Note: All rehearsals are required of all members of the Clear Creek Band. If there are scheduling conflicts with another school activity (football, volleyball, etc.), the directors, coaches, students, and parents will work together on a schedule that is workable.
There is always a way to make it work!

Note: No student will be placed in a varsity marching spot (or will retain a varsity marching spot) if they are absent from a marching contest.
