SKATETIME ALMOST HERE!
The VERY POPULAR All Saints tradition of skating during PE classes, begins January 11th. Please look for the Skatetime form that will be sent home with your child this Wednesday, December 7th. Those of you (Kindergarten - 8th Grade) who already paid the Skatetime fee ($12) at School Supply Day, will get a letter indicating payment has been received, and all we need is your permission, signature, and child's shoe size. Those of you who have not paid, will get a form asking for payment, permission, and your child's shoe size. Remember: parents, grandparents and guardians are welcome to join us during your child's PE class time to watch, take pictures, possibly skate with your child, and help students with getting skates on and off. Payment and shoe size info is due NO LATER than Dec. 14th in order to place the order for skates.
RE-SCHEDULED BOOK FAIR AUTHOR VISIT
Our Book Fair guest author, Mr. Keith Graves, had a family emergency during our regularly scheduled author visit in November. Fortunately for all of us, Mr. Graves has been able to re-schedule his visit to All Saints for Friday, January 13th - what a WONDERFUL way to begin our spring semester! We look forward to meeting him and enjoying his presentations. Several of his books will be available for purchase in the library, and for Mr. Graves to sign during his visit, including Monsterator, Frank Was a Monster Who Wanted to Dance, Puppy, and 10 Second Banana.

MATH IS FUN!!!!
No student in Mr. Thornton's 7th Grade Pre-Algebra class will ever question if they will use their math skills in the real world! Mr. Thornton's class went out to "the real world" the week before Thanksgiving break and used equations to calculate the speed of cars based on the distance and time travelled. Wow! Math just got VERY REAL!

KINDERGARTEN FIELD TRIP
Our Kindergarten students, teachers and chaperones had a FANTASTIC field trip to K & K Christmas Tree Farms last week! Each class picked out a tree to bring home to their classroom. Kindergarten is definitely getting in the Christmas spirit!
