Photo Highlights of the Week
Fire Prevention Poster Contest WinnersWinners from the Third Grade Fire Prevention Poster Contest are Jeanette from Mrs. Crimmel's class and Abdalla from Ms. Gearheart's class. Fire Prevention Week is the first week of October. The contest and highlighted week serve as a way to raise awareness for students and save lives. Congratulations, Jeanette and Abdalla! | Pax Vision for Recess Mrs. Ollanketo, our Thomas Building Educational Attendant, started working on a Pax vision for the playground with students. At lunch, she asked each grade level what they wanted to see more, hear more, do more, and feel more at recess. Then, she had students share what they wanted to see less, hear less, do less, and feel less at recess. All grades were surprisingly similar. Thanks, Mrs. O! | First Grade Pax Leaders First grade students are enjoying recess time. They are following through with their Pax Vision. Students wanted to see peers being kind with less (no) pushing or being rough. They wanted to hear more appropriate and kind words and less teasing. Students wanted to do more inclusive play and less leaving people out. All students definitely wanted to feel happy while at recess:-) |
