One Month in the Books!
Dear St. Matthew families,
The year is in full swing! Our routines are set, students know their expectations, and teachers are in their groove. Life is good.
We took our first round of STAR testing for Reading and Math. We take round 2 in January. At that point we will compare results and see how our growth is coming. We will use this data to see if we are making the desired progress toward our school improvement goal:
- By May 2022, every student will make continuous progress in becoming fluent, critical readers. Eighty five percent of students will be at or above grade level and/or meeting their projected growth determined by their STAR testing.
In addition to our new Literacy curriculum and the hard work of our students and teachers, the support our parents give us at home is another important piece in helping us reach our goals. We thank you all.
You all continue to be in my prayers. We appreciate you remembering us in your prayers as well.
