It is hard to believe that Fall Break starts this week, the semester is continuing to fly by so quickly! Thanks to the students who have signed up for this recruitment opportunity during fall break and please remember to come by the James Center Office for your materials before you leave for fall break. We will email another reminder to those people who have signed up.
Important Events:
- Red Flag Training Seminar TONIGHT Room 124 5:30-7:00pm. “Each year it becomes more and more apparent how important The Red Flag Campaign is in educating our students about healthy and unhealthy relationships.”— --Women’s Center Assistant Director (public university)
- Dr. Martin has to reschedule his seminar from tomorrow about Personnel Expectations. It will be held before the semester is over. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

- EdTalk applications due October 14th.
- Junior/Senior Scholarship Application Due October 15th
- Career Fair--NEXT Monday October 19th. The perfect time to network with school districts and learn more about the job opportunities available as future educators.

Teacher Leadership Seminar
We were inspired by the Watauga County Schools Leadership Team led by Superintendent Dr. Scott Elliott. "Being a quality teacher is a teacher leader. Be satisfied with being a good teacher." Culture vs. Costume Session October 19 7:00pm PSU Parkway Ballroom (4th Floor)
The Diversity Committee is inviting everyone to the event hosted by APPS to challenge us to think about the Halloween costumes that are worn for this holiday. It is an educational fashion show aimed at allowing marginalized and underrepresented groups on campus to share their perspectives on some popular Halloween costumes.
