First Graders are Incredible
December 7th - Conference Cafe!
What We're Learning:
These first graders have been busy. We've been practicing new words including long and short vowels, sh, th and other tricky sounds. We've also been exploring addition, money, and telling time.
Check here for our Symbaloo page - the dashboard for all of our first grade work.
We're been exploring ways we can work together, while also doing our best work. These incredible first graders are thinking not just about WHAT they are learning, but HOW they learn.
We've been incredibly fortunate with the beautiful weather we've been experiencing these past few months, and are hoping to continue exploring the outdoors even when winter is upon us. Please send your kiddos to school with warm coats, gloves, hats, scarves and even snow-pants! We will be going out rain or shine, which helps students to explore their environment in all of it's incarnations, but also to release their energy so that their bodies can feel calm and comfortable during the whole day.
We've FINALLY begun our science unit and are thrilled to be the new home of guppies, beetles, snails, water plants, tree seedlings, moss, and 18 sprouting seeds! Stay tuned for more on our environmental adventures.
