School Begins September 8th
Classroom Teacher: Your child will be assigned to a teacher that will be responsible for communication with the family and feedback regarding work performance while we are online. However, it is important to know that students will be interacting with all grade level teachers online. Once we enter into the hybrid model, where students are reporting to the building for part of the time, your child may very likely be assigned a different teacher. Creating the cohorts for hybrid is complex, but know that we will be seeking your feedback in that process.
Technology Disbursement: We realize many of you need a chrome book or hotspot (to access the internet). We will be disbursing technology again this fall. The district will send out information in the coming weeks on how to sign up for technology for your home.
What will the beginning of the school year look like?
The fall is always a time that we focus heavily on building relationships with your child and family. That will not change this school year, but it will look different.
Your partnership is critical to the success of your child. We want you to know how much we care about your child's success. We are committed to helping your family thrive during these unprecedented times. There will be lot of information regarding resources and supports. Please let us know how we can be of assistance.

ONLINE REGISTRATION/VERIFICATION
All JME families must verify their registration with the school annually, even if you selected Option 2. This year, we are doing our registration process completely online. Here are the steps you need to take to complete this process. Please complete this process by Monday, August 17.
- Go to this LINK to be directed to the Oregon City School District webpage for online registration and verification.
EMAIL VERIFICATION
Please be sure that you have double checked and included all the email addresses you have provided to the school. Email is a primary communication tool for our families. We use a mass email system called School Messenger to communicate with our families on a regular basis. School Messenger uploads email updates or changes daily from our school computer system. Please do not ever block messages from School Messenger. If you are receiving messages you do not want, simply call the school and our office staff will make all of the necessary corrections for you.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT ANY PART OF THE REGISTRATION/VERIFICATION PROCESS, PLEASE CONTACT THE MAIN OFFICE. 503-785-8650 OR Diane.Webb@orecity.k12.or.us.
Please complete this process by Monday, August 17.
Ms. Henkin's Office Hours
Office Hours August 20th 7:00-8:30pm (Zoom Link embedded here)
During office hours, you can log in anytime between 7pm and 8:30pm using the zoom link. You will be placed into a waiting room. I will meet with one family at a time. So this may mean that you are waiting in the waiting room for several minutes. Please be patient. I will admit you as soon as possible. If people are waiting, I will ask that we limit our time together and schedule a follow up time for further conversation.
