HOW TO REPORT YOUR CHILD ABSENT OR TARDY
To report your child absent please call our recorded attendance line at 262.367.3606 x101
We ask that you leave the following information on the attendance message system:
Students Name, Teacher, Reason for Absence
To report your child tardy or to notify the office of an appointment during the school day, please call the recorded attendance line at 262.367.3606 x101.
If you prefer to email the district about your child's absence, please email the Attendance Secretary, Michelle Howard at howardm@mylakecountryschool.org.
CHILDREN NOT FEELING WELL?
If your child is not feeling well or if your child has a fever (any temperature greater than 100 degrees F), please report them absent to the attendance line and keep them home. Children may return to school when they are feeling better and are fever-free for 24 hours without using fever-reducing medications (such as Tylenol, Motrin, Advil, etc.)
This applies even if the underlying cause of the fever is non-infectious, such as middle ear infections, bronchitis, urinary tract infections, etc. Children with infections do not feel well enough to participate in and attend school activities. It is recommended that they be given 24 hours to recover from the fever before returning to school. Please note that a child who exhibits symptoms of illness without a fever may be sent home if the nurse feels this is in the best interest of the child or the child’s classmates.
DROPPING OFF AN ITEM FOR YOUR CHILD DURING THE SCHOOL DAY
If you have an item to drop off for your child during the school day, please use the white shelving system in the main entrance vestibule. Press the intercom button to notify the office that you are outside. Let them know you are dropping off an item, and use door 3 to set the item on the shelving system. If you wish to leave a note with the item, paper, and pencil are provided.

Spring 2023 Update
Hello Lake Country School District Families!
It is hard to believe that we are a week away from spring break. My time at Lake Country School District has gone by fast, and this has been a tremendous time of learning for me. I have gotten to meet so many wonderful people, and I am looking forward to meeting many more. Everyone that I have met has been very welcoming and supportive of the school.
The strengths of Lake Country School District are in the people who comprise it: the students, the parents, the staff, and the community as a whole. Each day, I have the great fortune to greet students at the door as they come into school eager to learn and experience new things. Our staff continues to explore new ways to bring learning to life for our students. The parental support of our school is simply amazing. In my 22 years in education, I can say confidently that this is the best parent-supported school that I have been a part of.
As we continue to look toward the future, we have some challenges at Lake Country School District that we will overcome. Our two biggest challenges are the age of our building and our operational (financial) needs. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE

OPEN ENROLLMENT 2023-2024
The inter-district public school open enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend a public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside. The regular open enrollment application period for the 2023-24 school year begins on February 6, 2023, and ends at 4:00 pm on April 28, 2023. The best way to apply is online, the online application is available at https://dpi.wi.gov/open-enrollment during the application period.
Once a pupil is attending a nonresident school district under open enrollment, the pupil may continue to attend that district without re-application. Lake Country School students do not need to re-apply for open enrollment until they are ready to attend Arrowhead High School or another school district.
INCOMING NEW 4 & 5 YEAR-OLD STUDENTS
We are searching for ALL future students in the Lake Country District. If you have, or are aware of a three or four-year-old in the district who will be 4 or 5 years old by September 1st, 2023, please have the parents contact Amy Adkins at adkinsa@mylakecountryschool.org or call (262) 367-3606 ext. 115. If you have children attending Lake Country School already, please don't assume we know about younger siblings. We want to hear from you!
