School Spirit - Face Paint & Glitter
It's been fun watching school spirit take hold with students wearing face paint and/or glitter. However, we are unfortunately going to have to include some limitations on this trend as we've begun to note some property damage occurring as a result.
- Students may wear face paint or glitter if it is applied prior to arriving to school.
- Students may not apply face paint or glitter while at school.
- If face paint or glitter is transferred to any surfaces through incidental contact, it is our expectation that the student clean it up immediately to prevent permanent discoloration of walls, counters, or other surfaces.
Thank You - Parent Treats
A sincere thank you to our parents for the kind treats of cold drinks, donuts, and notes of encouragement for our staff. We appreciate your effort to let our team know that their hard work is seen and appreciated!
Kudos - Mr. Hackworth
Our very own M/J Gr. 6 Health teacher, Mr. Hackworth, has been notified that his recent article submission relating to the use of humor in the classroom to promote engagement has been selected for publication in an upcoming issue of the Journal of Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (JOPERD). Not only was he previously recognized as a state teacher of the year by SHAPE (the Society of Health & PE Educators), he's now a published author. Way to go!

Yearbook Sales - Buy Now!
Our first ever yearbook is on sale! Order your copy online using the link below. The yearbook staff is also selling business ads, which are a great way to support their work and help keep the yearbook costs lower.
After surveying local middle schools, we are not planning to sell ads for individual students until we have a senior class.
Questions about yearbooks may be directed to our yearbook sponsor, Mrs. Swain.
After School Care
Sign Up is Available for After School Supervision

MyStudent Info
An issue was recently identified with the Focus/MyStudent communication system. Unfortunately, a previously unknown setting within the system was preventing staff email responses from reaching parents and other stakeholders with Gmail email addresses. Our district team has implemented a fix for the issue, and has advised staff that there are likely instances in which parents did not receive the timely response a teacher sent using the MyStudent communication system. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your continued patience as we work through any remaining unexpected implementation issues.
