Parent Teacher Conference Information
Our doors will be open from 8:00 am until 7:45 pm. Parents and guests will be greeted at the front door by the office staff. There, they will receive a progress report of their child grades. The grade report does not have the room number. We have stressed to parents that students must accompany their parents. We have sent that to parents the following ways: text, twitter, Facebook, push notification, and email.
We will have Pizza Ranch pizza and pop for staff in the staff lounge at 4:30 pm.

Weekly Strategy Challenge - Deliberately Practice This Strategy In Class!
- Plan where in the lesson you will target questions. Although planning takes time, it will be during that part of the lesson where you will be able to pause (since you are planned out) and assess whether the students are getting it.
- Write the questions in advance.
- Speed matters! This strategy should be no more than two-minutes.
- Purposefully select students to answer. Call on 5-6 students who represent the range of abilities in your classroom. Pick those kids ahead of time when you plan.
- Use cold call to keep everyone engaged and don't let students opt out!
We have done a lot with questioning and mixing targeted questioning with cold call can keep expectations high for students.
