During the month of October, our students will be focusing on the pillar of Respect. There are three key ideas that apply to respect.

• The Golden Rule: Treat others the way you want to be treated. Be polite and courteous. Respect the rights and freedoms of others. Respect the property of others - take care of things that you borrow and don’t take things without asking permission first.
• Tolerance and acceptance: Respect others who are different from you. Listen to the point of view of others and try to understand their perspective. Don’t judge people by their outside appearances.
• Courtesy: Use good manners. Be polite and courteous to everyone. Do not hurt others by embarrassing them, putting them down, or insulting them. Do not use bad language or inappropriate language.

Durante el mes de Octubre, nuestros estudiantes se enfocarán en el pilar de Respeto. Hay tres ideas clave que se aplican al respeto.

• La regla de oro: trata a los demás como quieres que te traten a ti. Sea educado y cortés. Respetar los derechos y libertades de los demás. Respete la propiedad de los demás: cuide las cosas que toma prestadas y no tome cosas sin pedir permiso primero.
• Tolerancia y aceptación: Respeta a los que son diferentes a ti. Escuche el punto de vista de los demás y trate de entender su perspectiva. No juzgues a las personas por su apariencia exterior.
• Cortesía: Use buenos modales. Ser educado y cortés con todos. No lastimes a otros avergonzándolos, menospreciándolos o insultándolos. No use malas palabras o lenguaje inapropiado.
