PLEASE REMEMBER
NO EARLY ARRIVAL/DISMISSAL AFTER SCHOOL
Students are not allowed on campus until 7:30 am as there is no supervision. Students must leave campus after school is dismissed unless they are attending a school athletic event or school activity.
PARENT PICK UP
1.)There are new guidelines and requirements from OSPI regarding students missing class. Students must remain in their classrooms for instruction time as long as possible. This includes time outside the classroom waiting for a parent.
2.)Therefore, if you are picking up your child before school dismissal, please allow your self several minutes of wait time as your child will not be taken out of classroom instruction until you have arrived at school and have signed your permission to release your child.
3.)If you call the school or submit a note for early dismissal, the same procedure applies. We will not take a student from classroom instruction until the parent/guardian has arrived on site and signed for the release.
4.) No one other than a parent or guardian may pick up or dismiss their child from school. If a parent or guardian is requesting someone to pick up or dismiss their child from school they will need to contact the school or provide a signed written note.If there is an emergency and we are unable to contact the parent or guardian then we will reach out to the Emergency Contacts listed.
ITEM DROP OFF
There is an item drop off area at the east end of the office across from Mrs. Brainard's desk. Simply be sure you have written the first and last name of the student and their grade level. The student will be sent an item pick up notice to their class.
ATTENDANCE
1.) Attendance must be reported to the school within 72 hours to be excused.
2.) Attendance notices may be reported through the attendance line at 360-804-4301, Family Access or with a written note.
3.) A student must be absent for at least 3 consecutive days in order to request homework from teachers. Please allow teachers at least 24 hours to gather the work. If a student is gone for less than 3 consecutive days then they will be given a day for make up of each day they were gone.
4.) If you are planning for an absence more than 3 consecutive days, please call or provide a note. A prearranged absence form will be issued so that the student may gather homework from their teachers.
AFTER SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION
The Park Place Middle School after school transportation/bus line can be accessed by selecting option #2 at the main menu or calling directly at 360-804-7102. Please note, that unlike elementary schools, we do not need parent permission for your child to ride home/walk with a friend, etc. We would only need to know this information if you require us to send a note or if you need to set up bus transportation.

MONROE HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC EVENTS NOTICE
Dear Monroe School District elementary and middle school families,
At Monroe High School, we pride ourselves on the fact that our athletic events are more than just an athletic contest; they are events that bring our entire Monroe community together. We are so appreciative of the support from our community and love having you and your children at our games.
Large athletic events, like our home football games, require high amounts of supervision to ensure the safety and security of our guests and players. For this reason, all elementary and middle school students attending any MHS athletic events must be accompanied by an adult. If an elementary or middle school student arrives at the gate unaccompanied, they will be turned away. In addition, in the case that a student chooses to act inappropriately, they will be asked to view the remainder of the game seated next to the adult they came with.
We appreciate your partnership in ensuring our athletic events are safe and enjoyable for all in attendance. Go Bearcats!
Sincerely,
Jeannette Siemers
