A Day In the Life of a Special Education Teacher

A day in the life of a teacher who teaches special needs consists of a lot of hard work. The teacher must wake up early, get to school, collaborate with other teachers(such as Occupational Therapist & speech teacher) to create better lesson plans, greet students as they arrive, begin to start the lesson, pausing to help students and to eat lunch, then at the end of the day, saying goodbye to students and going home to prepare for the next day and grade papers. Being a special education teacher requires a lot of hard work, patience and sympathy. A special education teacher spends his/her time during a work day standing in front of a classroom, walking around and interacting with students.

Training Required

A special education teacher needs to have a bachelors degree.
