Congratulation goes to the following Park and Rec basketball teams and their placement in various basketball tournaments this season:
8th Grade Boys (Coach: Rob Van Craenenbroeck) – 2nd Place in Winona on Jan. 9, 2nd Place in Viroqua on Jan. 23, 2nd Place in West Salem on Feb. 6 and 2nd Place at LaCrosse Central on Feb. 13
7th Grade Boys (Coaches: Becky Oyen / Dale Simon) – 2nd Place in Brookwood on Jan. 30, 2nd Place in Holmen on Feb. 6, and 1st Place in their pool in Sparta on Feb. 13
6th Grade Boys Coaches: Ethan Van Laarhoven / Cory McLinn) – 3rd Place in Sparta on Feb. 6
5th Grade Boys (Coaches: Aaron Wurster / Josh Fortun / Mark Stuhr) – 1st Place in Melrose on Jan. 16, 2nd Place in Mauston on Feb. 13

If you see a youth player or a youth coach do something good during the course of a game, practice or even away from the playing area, please let us know about it and nominate him/her for “Player” or “Coach” of the month. Youth Softball Camp/Workouts:
Run by Mesa Heit, Onalaska High School Softball Coach.
Sundays, March 6, 13, 20 – 4:30-6:00pm at Onalaska High School.
Pre-Registration required. Register by Thursday, March 3.
Youth Baseball Camp/Workouts:
Run by Larry Swiggum, Onalaska High School Baseball Coach.
Wednesdays, March 9 & 16; Sundays, March 13 & 20.
Pre-Registration required. Register by Friday, March 4.
Private Personal Training
These training sessions offer all-around holistic athletic training emphasizing dynamic Olympic lifts, core functional strength exercises, and a complete focus on linear speed, power, flexibility, agility, and strength. Programs can also be individualized based off of the client’s preferred sport or weaknesses. Capabilities for video feedback and side by side comparisons help the athlete see which areas need improvement.
