Good evening, this is Mr. Andriolo calling to share important information about school and the upcoming week.

We had an amazing time at Family Fun Night. We were so happy to see so many of our Murkland families enjoying the various activities. We look forward to seeing you at future events. Our next is Back to School Night in early October. During that event, you’ll be able to head into your child’s classroom and other learning spaces in the building.

This Friday, our grade 2 students are heading to Honey Pot Hill for a field trip. Please make sure they are dress in comfortable clothing and wearing sneakers.

That’s all for this week, I hope you have a great week…and remember to ask your child what they learned at school every day…and please, don’t let them tell you nothing!

Good evening, this is Mr. Andriolo calling to share important information about school and the upcoming week.

This Thursday, September 14 from 6:00 – 7:30PM is Family Fun Night. We are so excited for this event! It takes place in the field located in front of our school and the entry fee for entire family is only $5. The entry fee covers all within event, including dinner for members of your family. We ask that you have immediate family attend this event and don’t open it up to others, as we plan for Murkland families only. The event is filled with fun activities including a games, bouncy houses, face painting, and presentations from first responders. We hope you and your family can make this awesome event.

This week, most students will be receiving their first Weekly Math Challenge. These math challenges are homework and typically head home on a Monday and are due back by Thursday. These challenges are used to see if students are applying math the learned in school within a unique problem. The bottom of the challenge asks for a family member's signature. Please try to talk with your child about their math challenge each week.

Student arrival and dismissal has been going well. Thank you for your patience and working to keep the entrance to our school clear from cars as you find a parking spot to pick up or drop off your child.

That’s all for this week, I hope you have a great week…and remember to ask your child what they learned at school every day…and please, don’t let them tell you nothing!

Good evening, this is Mr. Andriolo calling to share information about school and the upcoming week.

On Tuesday, September 5, students return to school from the Labor Day weekend break. This is also the day that PreKindergarten and Kindergarten students have their first day of school. We are excited to welcome our new PreK and Kindergarten students to the Murkland School. School begins at 8:30 and we will have staff in front of the building to direct Kindergarten families into the gym to meet their child’s teacher. After your child heads off to class from the gym, we will hold a Kindergarten orientation at around 9AM for our Kindergarten families.

With Kindergarten and PreK starting, please be prepared for a very busy school parking lot. If possible, please try to park off school grounds.

For parents in grades 1 – 4, we had an excellent first week at the Murkland. Please continue to check your child’s folders nightly and make sure that all forms have been filled out and sent back to school.

The Murkland School has an attendance team. Often times, if your child is absent, you will receive a phone call from a Murkland staff member. In addition, you’ll also get an automated call. Student attendance is so critical to their success in school. Please do all you can to support your child’s daily attendance.

That’s all for this week, I hope you have a great week…and remember to ask your child what they learned at school every day…and please, don’t let them tell you nothing!
