Thankful for. . .
Dear Manavon families,
I wanted to take the time to thank you for welcoming me and making me feel quickly at home here at Manavon. I am grateful for the support you have given me. I am also thankful for our incredible staff and their willingness to do everything in their power to support our students for their success. Finally, I am thankful for our students who make each day a positive experience and the reason we all come together as a team.
Please remember Parent Conferences are today and tomorrow and students do not have school until Monday, November 28.
I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving with time to spend with friends and family.
Sincerely,
Dr. Celotto

We Love Reading!
A Peaceful Little Spot!
Mrs. Wickersham’s social skills groups have been working on identifying when our emotions get too BIG and learning strategies on how to stay calm in these moments. They used the book “A Little Peaceful Spot” by Diane Alber to learn some of the tools they need to self-regulate. One tool they use is the “Spot Breathing Pattern”. In group, they used paper plates to make patterns of swirls and dots and hung them on the door. Before the students leave the room, they practice breathing in with the swirls and out with the dots!

Fiction Writing Celebration
As an end of unit writing celebration, Fourth grade ELA classes shared realistic fiction stories with each other.
Manavon Cares
Once again, with the help of our amazing school community, we will participate in the Manavon Cares Holiday Drive. This is a voluntary school-wide project that allows each of us to share the excitement and joy of the upcoming holidays with families in our community who might otherwise not be able to enjoy the season.
We have the privilege of adopting 16 families from our community to provide them with gifts and gift cards. If you would like to participate, we have several ways to contribute.
- First, you can choose to purchase items for the children of the adopted families by selecting a gift/s from the Manavon Cares Amazon Wishlist. If you choose to purchase an item/s from the Wishlist, please be sure to select the Manavon Cares Address for shipping, not your home address. That way, the item will go directly to our school, care of Mrs. Carolyn Ronayne, who will be sure to get the item to the family. Use the link below.

- If you prefer to send in a monetary donation, contributions will be used to purchase items such as requested gifts not available through the Amazon Wishlist, gift cards for older students, and wrapping paper for each family. With this second option, you can make a monetary donation via Paypal (see attached flyer for information).
*If your family does wish to participate in this wonderful project but would like a more hands-on or in-person shopping experience this holiday season, please reach out to our School Counselor, Mrs. Ronayne, for ways to do so.
All donations (monetary or ordering items directly from the wishlist) are due by Friday, December 9th. If you have any questions, please contact either Danielle Rhodes, Manavon Cares Coordinator, at drhodes0520@gmail.com or Carolyn Ronayne, School Counselor, at ronaynec@pasd.com or 484-927-5372. We thank you for your generosity, and wish you Happy Holidays!

Cradles to Crayons
A note from C2C club president, Neel Sajja, PAHS Senior
Hello. We are the Cradles to Crayons club at Phoenixville Area High School. Our club works with the main branch in Philadelphia to raise clothes, books, money, and school supplies to support impoverished kids in the greater-Philadelphia area. On the days November 21st & 22nd, we would like to set up a box in each school during conferences. We will be promoting our cause and asking people to collect their old clothes and other belongings and drop them in said donation bins during the window of days to be donated to the main organization that we will be visiting Dec. 7th. We believe this will greatly help our clubs’ aspirations and hope you can help us with this!
