A message from Heather Youngpeter (Prevention Volunteer)
I hope everyone is having a great 2016 so far. The New Year is an amazing time to turn things around and make them great! Although it is not necessary to wait for a new year to make positive changes to one’s life, it does encourage people to do so. The new semester is also a wonderful time to change study habits and improve grades. No one can stop you from improving yourself whether it be grades, sports, fitness, or just overall well-being. Setting goals is important. Remember to write these goals down and put them in places you pass by often since reading them could make it easier to remember to accomplish them. Also, think about telling people about your goals for the New Year. Telling others is a great way to motivate yourself to do something that you might be afraid of or unsure of how to go about completing. Starting off the year strong could make you a happier and an improved version of yourself.
